Community Resource Exchange
CRE is a not-for-profit organization that provides management assistance to the diversity of not-for-profit groups serving the
poor and disenfranchised. By ensuring the stability, growth, and effectiveness of these organizations, we strive to improve

that offer HIV prevention activities, to the Capacity Project, and HIV/AIDS resource database where organizations can

CHOICES is the community health information service of The New York Public Library. Its job is to help you get the information
you need to take care of your health and your family. Use this site from home, or come into any of our 85 branches for personalized

About Our Kids
The NYU Child Study Center Child Study Center offers expert psychiatric and psychological services for children and families, with
emphasis on early diagnosis and intervention. The Child and Family Recovery Program will utilize a scientifically based mental
health recovery model to: identify children who are most at risk for developing a mental health problem in the aftermath of September 11th, 2001;
provide trauma and grief specific cognitive behavioral therapy for children moderately to severely impaired by exposure to these events, and
refer less severely impaired children who may need treatment for exacerbation of pre-existing mental health conditions to alternate treatments;
evaluate all treatment administered; and, train mental health professionals to provide appropriate interventions in school- and community-based
programs; offer outreach and education to the public, pediatricians and parents; conduct outreach and education to children, mental health providers,
teachers, staff, and parents in and around the World Trade Center and surrounding areas; and assess children in need of mental health treatment.
